Žabljak, Montenegro

Montenegro's alpine capital — gateway to Durmitor & Tara Canyon

From here you're 15 min from Black Lake, 45 min from Bobotov Kuk trailheads, and 90 min from Tara rafting launches. In winter it's a proper (and cheap) ski resort; in summer, the country's hiking hub.
