The great bridge over Europe's deepest canyon
Đurđevića Tara is the 365-metre concrete arch bridge that crosses the Tara canyon 172 metres above the river, built in 1940, destroyed during the Second World War by the engineer who designed it, and rebuilt in 1946. It is the most recognisable structure in northern Montenegro and the natural stop between Žabljak and the rafting camps downstream.
May–October. The rafting season runs mid-April to mid-October; the road can be slow in winter snow.
