Quiet riviera town — red-sand beaches and family pace

Petrovac is the calmer alternative to Budva, 17 km south along the same riviera. It has a short pine-backed promenade, a small Venetian fortress, and two beaches of reddish sand and fine pebble. The pace is slow and family-oriented, and Lučice bay next door is one of the prettiest small coves in Montenegro.
