Rafting operators must be licensed by the Montenegrin Rafting Federation, mountain guides by the national mountaineering association, and skippers must hold a valid boat licence. Ask for the licence number, check that the company issues a receipt, and avoid anyone asking for a full cash deposit before you meet. Every guide listed on BookNRoll has already gone through ID and licence verification.

July and August sell out days in advance on the coast, especially boat trips and paragliding. In May, June, September and October you can usually book one to three days ahead. Rafting runs mid-April to mid-October; canyoning June to September; paragliding year-round when the wind allows.
